Micasa Community Dinner

Thursday, March 28th | Park Slope, Brooklyn

Micasa is Live!

This story starts with Lou, a native New Yorker, talented musician, and community builder extraordinaire. Growing up in NYC, Lou cherished moments of connection and community in a city that can both feel expansive and isolating. He experienced a city brimming with talented people–musicians, comedians, artists of every ilk–and beautiful homes that longed to be filled with convivial community. In 2021, sensing that he could help connect people and places, he started hosting unique events in beautiful spaces all over Brooklyn. Micasa was born!

He linked up with the talented Jay, and together they decided to turn Micasa into an events platform connecting local hosts, guests, and talent to co-create in collaborative community. Jay did a killer job designing the mobile app, so we sent it off to our developers, and now we’re finally ready to launch!  We created Micasa to connect extraordinary people and build lasting community, so naturally we are kicking off with dear friends and collaborators who embody the  spirit of collaborative and authentic Brooklyn culture. You’re one of those people!

On Thursday, March 28th, we are teaming up with Sydney Bolger, convener and community builder, and David Alder, storyteller and somatic healer, to create a dinner party + concert event in their lovely Park Slope home.  We will share delicious food and fellowship and the evening will feature special performances by local comedian Rebacca Kaplan and songwriter Mo Hyllus.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this exciting moment for Micasa and become a part of this community of creators who will  bring the very first events to the Micasa platform!

With love & gratitude,

Lou & Jay

Micasa

Intimate gatherings are the lifeblood of connected community. Micasa helps people discover and create experiences that feel like coming home. For dinner, music, fashion shows, comedy, games, or even just hanging out, there’s just nothing quite like the feeling of being a special guest at an intimate gathering. We connect warm, welcoming, creative, and actively engaged hosts with guests who are socially and culturally curious, and want to feel a sense of belonging in their community.
